Insiders Movement

The insiders movement is becoming increasingly popular due to Americans' lack of knowledge of the Bible and poor ecclesiology, combined with their Pharisaic zeal to make converts and the financial resources to make it happen.

There is a documentary entitled "Half Devil, Half Child" that reveals the problems with the insiders movement, and gives a better way to do missions among Muslims.

You would be surprised how widespread this problem is, and how many seemingly zealous missionaries are encouraging people to deny Christ before men, lest they should be persecuted, thinking that the sinner's prayer and a secret admiration for Christ is the magic bullet that will save them from their sins and hell.

Americans have supposedly found a better way than the apostles' way of persecution and suffering: We know how to save people the "quick and easy" way, American style. You get everything that God has to offer for the minimal cost, what better deal could we offer?

It is important to note that those who promote changing the Bible so as to make it less offensive and want to preach a gospel that is easy to digest ALSO believe in the sinner’s prayer as a means of salvation.

I have one suggestion for them: I wish they would go all the way and emasculate the sinner’s prayer as well! Here is a good way to do so; pray like this:

Dear Allah, I confess that I am not perfect. I know that you have revealed a way of salvation through your prophet, Jesus. I trust in him, and I ask you to be merciful to me. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, you are guaranteed to have mercy from Allah. You can continue going to the mosque, doing the ceremonial washings, the prayers, the pilgrimage, and everything else commanded by the prophet Muhammad. But, remember that you are now a REAL MUSLIM. (wink wink)

Wow! I bet we could save the whole world by adapting the sinner’s prayer to the beliefs of every culture!
