Yesterday, early morning... He needed a new body anyhow!
You mean the fellow that posted here on SI?
So sorry to hear this. I was so blessed by his thoughts.
May the Lord bless JimP eternally.
Whenever I hear of someone who has passed away who I knew in some way it caused to me take a step back and think about the reality of death and going on to the next work. Sometimes it really scares the mess out of me.
I always appreciated His post, They always where full of Grace and demonstrated his love for his Savior.
I find it an eye opener that if we feel a tug to tell someone that we apperciate them, we need not put it off, many times I felt like responding how much I appreciated something that he had posted, but I shamefully always put it off.
Is jimP and jimp the same person?
Never mind Sister Lysa answered my question, he will be missed, he and I joined SI about the same time.
I always appreciated His post, They always where full of Grace and demonstrated his love for his Savior.
Amen he will be missed but is with our wonderful saviour the Lamb on the throne. What glories await us!
on twitter I posted this yesterday and thought it was applicable:
There is a crown awaiting us, a robe, treasures, endless joy. We will soon all be before the Lord of creation glorifying Him.
The journey is almost over, keep serving the Lord with all your heart, possessions, and energy you will never regret it.
We must live for what the Lord thinks never men. For we will be accountable to the Lord in the end for all that we said and did.
Endless streets of gold in heaven yet men die and go to hell seeking gold on the earth.
I, for one, will miss you jimp! I loved your straight to the point posts and your testimonies which reflected your walk with God!! Until we meet again, bro!
Sister Lisa
Praise God for Jim. He shared some lovely thoughts and was honest about life. Praise the Lord Who gave His life for him. Now he sees his face. Now he comprehends fully that which he saw once through the glass darkly. Now he truly lives. Praise God in heaven and all the earth praise His holy name. Tears of joy.
Yes, jimp will be missed...appreciated his short, brief insights into whatever discussion he was commenting on. I am sure he will the presence of the LORD far superior to anything this life had to offer. God bless him.

This morning I got this email from Krispy and wishes I would express his appreciation, condolences for jimp. Here it is:
"could you please express my sadness and joy at this news, and my condolences as well in case any of his loved ones happen to see that thread on SI? He was a voice of reason, experience and maturity ..... on the forum." Krispy

Bear.
Another saint has gone home to be in the presence of Jesus among the great cloud of witnesses. What a glorious reunion that will be one day when we have our homecoming!
Mike
We will miss communicating with him via his posts, but we can take comfort that he has "fought a good fight, finished the course and kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7).
"Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." - 2 Timothy 4:8
Who will now argue with me saying that repentance is not required for salvation like how Jimp did? I have prayed for him sometime back as I had a burden for his beliefs which I believed are against what scripture said. Hope his robes were white in the eyes of God.
Hello,
I will remember jimp for his belief in the greatness of God's love during a thread last year. He was privileged to have known Brother Ravenhill.
I have a Word document in a file on my computer in which I copy and paste many of the wonderful morsels of the Lord that I have read here on SermonIndex. I looked through it this morning and found many tidbit from our brother:
i have often prayed with brother ravenhill in his home and in mine, and would like to add to this one thing. len ravenhill prayed. len ravenhill preached on prayer. len ravenhil was sickened by powerless, prayerless christians who where smug and haughty, yet had not shed tears for the lost and dieing church world we now have today. we are responsible for those who do not know Jesus today and we must pray and weep and wail for revival. jimp
hi chris, sorry for misspelling your name. i want to thank you for a wonderful post. i have changed my theology from extremes as a young man toward the middle as i approach 74. i have oft been wrong and when i saw it in my life i ran to the truth.the one thing that scares me to death is not the charlatains who are way off in different directions but the negative, harsh critical folks who limit the power of God and accuse the brethren by name with meanness and a lack of love.Jesus is able to change anyone.after finishing bible col.in florida i was recruited by charles simpson to be a part in the discipeship proram. they sent me to miss. and after a while i saw that this was becoming a cult.i promised God a year and a year and a day, iwas headed to new orleans.i called charles everything but a christian. i ran into charles in a church in orlando, fl. and told him i had ought against him .he told me that he had repented of this error many months prior and begged my forgiveness.the Lord showed me i was blasting a man who was my brother and had repented of his errors.this has grieved me till this day. jimp
hi, thank God we don't live under justice;we live under mercy.Jesus did come to save the world not to condemn it.Jesus defeated sin, death and hell at the cross. why do christians want everyone but themselves to go to hell. we serve a risen ,victoreous saviour.believe into Jesus and you are hid with Christ in God.jimp if you want to please the church folk just tell them that everone but us is going to hell.
hi, a sinner is one who has one sin that is not under the blood.jimp
hi, if God hates the sinner why would He give His only begottenSon to die in the sinners behalf?why would He pour out His wrath upon Jesus as He bled and died on the cross for sinners? that is the greatest gift of love ever given. in that one act on the cross, Jesus conquered sin, death, and the grave. He did not cover our sin but took away the sin for us. Jesus said that He did not come to condemn the world but through Him the world might be saved. the world was nothing but sinners from then til now. the statement that God hates sinners has no place in the gospel message because it is an obvious mistatement of the truth.God is love. i can hear Him saying "niether do I condemn you, Go and sin no more. jimp
hi, the definition of faith:hear the personal directive word from God, (ramah) receive this word< believe this word , obey this word.God told noah to build a ark...etc God told abram to leave ur and seek a city... this is beyond the law. God told me that He sent His Son to die in my place and to die to myself and receive Him as my Lord and i simply obeyed.jimp
grace is that directive word from God to direct you to His plan for your life.
hi, our relationship with Jesus and each other are the prime interests in our lives. we all realize that none of us know all things but we answer all questions. be kind one to another and be humble enough to prefer one another. len ravenhill told me not to believe what he or anyone else had to say ...but to check it out with the word. let God straighten out the questions that separate and hinder us.now is the the time to show the world genuine humility and love and compassion and unity.....jimpi will not know anything among you save for Jesus Christ and Him crucified...
hi, i have a friend who lives where i live named mary and she is from antioch turkey...the place where we were first called christians...she was brought up worshipping the man who died on the cross, gruz.she had no bible and none were printed in turkey til 1998.. when she got her bible she read it for months realizing the hand me down rote was full of mythe and error because of the percecution of believers by muslums... the bible printers were bombed within a year...instead of arguing over which version;partner up with someone to get the version of choice into islamic countries... i dont think mary would argue even if she received one you hate. jimp
hi, i have a dear christian friend who i have seen become a millionaire... he gives like a billionaire because he knows where it came from... he had 50 houses built from slidell la. to mandeville. some he had as rentals and others new and for sale and katrina was coming. as he and his son prayed the night trough katrina center hit hard in slidell... after the trees were cleared and roads open he went to inspect the damage... not one dollar of damage to any of his homes... homes on the same street with roofs off and trees falling on the houses some flooded... he also had a plane moored in a hanger at the slidell airport... the hanger was blown away and the door of the hanger was 100 feet away and the plane was sitting where moored with no damage. i can write many many testimonies of miracles i have seen in my life for we serve a miracle working God. when i was a missionary isaw some things you would not believe....jimp
hi, the one with the most toys win is not the gospel message, and neither is poverty. a giving heart with the funds you are blessed with is what the word teaches. you must have to give and be a blessing to others. i remember what len ravenhill said about wesley who printed hymnals and built churches and at the end of his life had an old cloak, afew silver spoons, enough pounds to give his paulberers one each and the methodist church. jimp
hi, i have seen many miracles in my christian lifetime and i do not care who said they have ceased ... they are still many occurring daily.i would like to retell a story of a dear friend named gene who had a surgery that removed three ribs and his left lung from his body... as his right lung was filling with t. b. , he submitted as an unbeliever to prayer for healing. after being prayed for he felt air enter into his chest... he went home and when he took off his shirt the scar from the surgery was gone... he called dr. byers and went into see what was going on... dr. byers exrayed his chest and the ribs were back in genes body as was a new lung and the other lung was clean of t b ... this was investigated by the fbi for it was printed in a magazine as a testimony and found to be truth. they had the before and after xrays. jimp
hi maryjane, i saw something this week that i never saw before... the prodigal son when he saw himself at the pig sty for who he was and what he had done said to himself the servants of my father live better than i do and decided to work himself back in the good graces of his father... he got up with his his plan in hand and headed toward the fathers house...when the father saw him he ran to meet him and did not allow his son to speak but cried out...this is my son who was lost and is now found go get the slippers, the ring and the robe, you can not work yourself back into The Fathers good graces forHe loves you even in your failure.isaiah saw God and himself for who he was and and cried out like you woe is me...anytime you really see yourself in truth you will see how phoney and puny we are and how Holy He is...it is all by grace that we are saved with nothing from us added.either Jesus died for you and conquered sin or He did not...if you trust in Him He will help you walk in the spirit...do not have any faith in what you can do or not do but have faith in what He already did. jimp
hi, i had a close relationship with len ravenhill for a few years and he told me not to take anything any preacher said as gospel but to check it out with the scriptures and he said to check him especially for we are all human and subject to gross error with a pure heart.when you take a few minutes to type critical things about others without spending at least that amount of time in prayer for that brother or sister than you are on dangerous grounds with God who hates religeous snobs.(pharisees)love has power to cover a multitude of sins but anger, strife, bitterness or a critical spirit does absolutely no good except it harms the one who deals in them.brothers let us love one another for everyone who loves is born of God and knoweth God and he who loveth not knoweth not God for God is love. jimp
hi, acouple of years ago the Lord spoke to me very clearly and said we need to humble ourselves. He told me that we were a proud and haughty lot and that is why our prayers were hindered. we think we have the truth in our group and speak evil of others who do not see things the way we do. we accuse the brethren. we criticize too many things. we live egocentric lives.humble us o Lord so we can go on to praying the way You intended. jimp
hi chris, sorry to shorten your name... as you know i was friends with bro. ravenhill ... the greatest man i was ever around was danny ost who after having a PERSONAL VISION of hell was driven almost beyond human strength to become a
n apostle to mexico... he saw the people sufering and crying out that they never heard the truth because the christians were to busy playing games to tell them of Jesus ... he started over 10 churches all self suporting with thousands in each church ... also bible schools... what fruit has come forth from this book... hell is eternal death and not a place you visit. jimp
hi rebecca, len ravenhill ministered with a man in the latter rain era(50s)who one night called for three people who really need healing to come forth.when they came up to the minister he asked the first,a woman,if God heals you will you stop sleeping with the married man in the third pew with the red tie on. God is tired of healing people so they can use their healed bodies for sin. the other two people took their seats. sounds like you found yourself a good place to worship Jesus. jimp
hi,your question is moot since he is on radio and soon to be on tv all over the world.he is in his 70s and is not the flambo he used to be but he is preaching the cross and redemption, salvation, sanctification through Jesus only and His finished work.when will we realize that God used an ass in the old testament and He can even use me now...do not worry about other ministries, worry about your own if your not being used of God to build the kingdom of heaven. when you stand before the thrice holy God naked and alone He will not ask you about jimmy or joel or bro.warren.it is time for the men and women of God to leave there nests of comfort and go and compel the masses to come to the table of God and repent and bow there knee to King Jesus. jimp
hi, i spent lots of time with bro len and he never preached calvin or armenian doctrines but he did emphasize his beliefs on conversion. he preached that altars are were one goes to die... also repent... in sincere sorrow for sin and espec. rebellion.he also said often that if your salvation does not produce personal righteousness as the result of Christ being in you then you are probably not His.jimp
hi, when was the last time you heard an invitation that asked you to come and die.you have as much life as a christian as you have died. we are to die daily and as bro len used to say even moment by moment. this is real repentance. jimp
hi, repentance is not turning away from your sins for if you could do that you would not need a redeemer. it is however turning your life over to Christ and dying to self. it is the goodness of God that leadeth to repentence and it is all grace. i am a firm beleiver in amazing grace that does far more than we ask or think. jimp
hi, a coin that is perfect on one side and blank on the other is a slug. you should take up your cross(die)and have gteat joy doing it. Jesus did come that we should have life in abundance. what we do with the abundance is the question; and giving brings great joy. if one is just dead he is morose and usless; but to be that and alive in Christ is to be balanced and usefull.to be seeking blessings only is frivilous and makes one just as useless and without any depth. jimp
hi, apart from the presence of God there is no holiness.... holy ground was holy because of the thrice holy God was there, holy bible is ink and paper without God...you are holy only if He abides in you and you in Him.Jesus told the rich young ruler call no man good for there is none holy...not one. then he demonstrated clearly that this man who kept the law from youth was far from holy...jimp let us examine our own selves and our own humility or lack thereof.
hi, the sabbath is from friday sundown to saturday sundown and that is the truth.in order to keep the sabbath one should have prayers at the candle lighting at friday sundown and not sweat or have any animal or employee sweat til saturday night sundown.one can not drive a vehicle on the sabbath; this is why jews lived in ghettos or in easy slow stroll to the syn....one can see how easy it is to be caught up in the religious beauty of these old testament rituals.i loved friday night services but i loved saturday and sunday services as well.Jesus must be our total salvation or He is not our saviour.Jesus plus circumcission or law is not the way.i rejoice that you hold the proper day as the sabbath but as saved gentiles it really does not matter to God. dead men and women are already in total rest with God through the blood of the Lamb.it is all about Jesus and His life and Him being our place of rest and safety and our source of eternal life. jimp
hi, the bible is a love letter from Jesus to me.if it is a duty or a law than it is wrong. you get no points for reading the bible.you do not impress God by reading it.as wonderful as it is; we cannot be legalistic about this or prayer or giving for all things come from Jesus and His grace and mercy....jimpthe Holy Spirit must reveal these things to folks.
hi, i praise God for you and your post for it reeks with remorse and sorrow for your condition. peter walked out on Jesus and denied Him and went back to fishing for a living.just because you are not religeous or mr. goody 2 shoes does not mean that the same savior who went after peter and cooked lunch on a fire for their fellowship isn't after you. Thank God that Jesus is the savior and not you or i.you need to realize that Jesus loves you personnally even when you are a jerk like me.labor to enter into rest in the finished work of the cross where He died for you and payed the full price for your sin. His strength is made PERFECT in our weakness. dont try to buffalo Him with christian mumbo jumbo and tell him to take you just like you are and do whatever He wants with you,and He will.jimp ...i love you and will see you in glory.
There are many more. These last two were written less than a week ago:
hi,the hebrew children were put into a fiery furnace over heated and Jesus came and cooled the oven. daniel was put in the lions den and God shut the mouths of the lions.the prophet was by the brook and hungry and God sent a bird to feed him.Jesus multiplied the loaves and fish.although i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i will fear no evil...God fed millions of jews in the wilderness and we are worried?we serve a mighty God who loves us and gave His Son to die for us. jimphi, i serve a risen saviour and He loves me.15 years ago i lived in a mansion and collected rents from 5 dwellings. i live in a room. adorm room with a shared bath with no kitchen. i am happier now than when i lived on the golf course(once an idol)God still suppies all of my needs.if i die it is an advance.God is not an ogre out to get you.my own son lives in va. and is now 70 miles away from me in N.o. la. he is with a grandson i have not seen since he was an infant and he is to busy to come see me. i understand and love him the same if he comes or not. i used to watch moms and dads get on a bus to go to prison(angola)to visit the sons that stole from them and put their lives in peril.parents love their children and my Abba loves me.
jimp
Chris,
Thank you for taking the time to compile these quotes from our brother.
Mike
This dear brother will be missed. I found many of his posts to be a blessing. I pray the Lord will comfort those friends and family closest to him.
Brother Jimp and I went round the block a few times together :) Yet I received a couple of very gracious PMs from him. I will miss him and have no doubt what-o ever that he now walks the streets of Gold , worshiping our Lord.It brings me joy to know that he has passed over and is now in glory..............bro Frank
for sharing jimp's writings...that was a good thing you just did.
he's a good soul, our last posting's to each other were of the Chinese revivalist John Sung, and i shared with him where one could get a new biography of brother John......and i never heard from jim.
well, may his loved ones be comforted in heart, thats my prayer.
