younger brothers love

Some who may have read my post requesting prayer for my son know he is sick. While the nausea medicine has helped and he is now able to keep down small amounts of fluids and foods, as of last night he was still unable to move at all. He is able to manage the spinning and motion sickness if he stays laying on his right side with his head tilted downward and his eyes closed. Of course after laying in this position since Saturday morning he has become discouraged. Knowing this his younger brother decided to sit up with him most of the night. He talked to him, told him stories, and from time to time would stop and pray over his older brother to be healed. I watched him as he cared for his older brother by getting him sips of water, helping keep his mind off the spinning and attempting to entertain him. I also watched my older son lay there listening to his little brother, responding to him cheerfully with out getting annoyed even though he is sick. As I watched them I realized that the this was seeing the love of CHRIST in action in both their lives. I was really struggling with discouragement at seeing my older son so sick but watching the two of them I found something to rejoice in, that through this time they were able to love one another, the younger was able to be a servant to his older brother during his time of need. The love of JESUS demonstrated in the lives of HIS...such a beautiful thing to behold!!

Just wanted to share that with some few here this morning.

God bless

What a great and merciful God we worship. We pray and seek to encourage the hurting and what does God do, God uses the hurting to show Himself and bless many with the revelation of His Love. Thank you mj for sharing Christ.

If your son had not been sick you would not have witnessed this outpouring of love...sometimes afflictions are a blessing, don't you think?

Yes, I know vertigo is debilitating - I have had it a couple times. As I recall it is an inner ear problem.

God bless.
