How do we lay up assets for the future that will endure beyond our bank accounts and other earthly assets?
Some may argue that our motives are not pure in such an effort but Jesus was pure and Jesus said: “…lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven” (Matthew 6:20)

Surely our days are numbered as are the hairs on our head (Matthew 10). We only get a certain number of each. Some have no hair remaining.
It seems to me that each day remaining for each of us is an opportunity to obey Jesus and lay up treasures in heaven.
