I realize this is a vague question, but I thought I would poll you guys to see what you recommend. There are so many great books to recommend.. I would probably suggest books that would challange and strech you to see the depth and width of the glory and love of God. Here are a few older volumes that will take some disclipine to read but will proof to bear much fruit in your life:The Complete chrisitan armor by William GurnallThe memoirs of Robert Murray Mcheyne by Andrew BonarThe Life and Diary of Andrew BonarThe Journals of John WesleyThe 2 Volume set of Wesleys sermons. The Life and Diary of David Brainard.

I think every Christian should read 'Holiness' by J.C. Ryle. Also check out EM Bounds on prayer (especially 'Power Through Prayer')'Revival Lectures' - Charles Finney'Master's Indwelling' - Andrew Murraybiography of CT Studd - Norman Grubb'Rees Howells Intercessor' - Norman Grubb'The Enduement of Power' and 'The Revival We Need' by Oswald J. Smith'George Muller Delighted in God' - Roger Steer'The Pursuit of God' - AW Tozer'Being God's Friend' - SpurgeonSounds like you've found the best in Leonard Ravenhill (he's my favorite) and others have recommended David Brainerd - another great one! Also check out collections of John Wesley's sermons and the writings of Jonathan Edwards (particularly 'Religious Affections')Theology texts are good and commentaries are useful but these and others like them are life changing! Enjoy. :)

The Jungle Pilot by Nate Saint. I would love to own a copy. I found this book in church library when I lived up in Maine. Being a pilot, I decided to read it. I could hardly read the book for the tears that filled my eyes and ran down my face. As an unsaved religious boy, I remember the event that this story leads up too. Somehow I could never get the picture out of my mind that was on the front page of our newspaper at the time. It was 1956. Not until the early '90's did I read the book. Now that I know the "Rest of the Story", the life of Nate Saint and his fellow Ambassadors for Christ will never cease to inspire my life. Even as I write this, tears begin to swell in my eyes and the Spirit move in my heart. You'll be so very blessed to read this book. You won't have to be a pilot or love flying to be engulfed with Spirit as the pages unfold. You won't be able to read much of it at a time, yet you won't want to put it down.

I don't own a credit card. Why don't both of you get this incredible story and live with me in it's pages. That would bless me so much more than owning a copy. Pages of words only become meaningful when they bless the heart. Get it and read it and them come and tell us what it did to your hearts. That would be joy, joy, joy. Thanks to both of you for your kindness and caring. May God's hand be upon all you say and do.In Him,Lahry
