Do not spread false rumours.
Exodus 23:1 GNB
To repeat unfavourable reports about someone else without checking their accuracy can amount to slander. You could find yourself guilty of destroying someone's reputation and of breaking the Sixth Commandment: 'You shall not murder' (Exodus 20:13 NIV). Jesus warns us that killing a person's reputation is like killing the person and we 'will be in danger of the fire of hell' (Matthew 5:22 NIV). So before making comments about someone else, examine them in the sight of God.
