When miracles seem to happen - Is it God undercover?

God moves in mysterious ways, right? miracles are those happenings that cannot be explained. They just happen for some reason. Can God do a miracle even if someone isn't seeking God for that miracle?

This is a 12 min video and around 4:20 mark she talks about being caught by the Chinese thinking she is a North Korean migrant so they ask her questions in Chinese. She never says she knew Chinese but apparently she does? She says she got control of her emotions and the next thing she knew one of the guards said her capture was a false report.

If we were to translate her as a Christian we would call this a move of God. I don't know if this woman is a Christian but she was caught between a rock and a hard place and I asked myself, did God move on her behalf and she didn't know about it? Chalking it up to luck or a freak thing of circumstance?

Bless you John. I listened to the video and heard the lady explain that when she was caught she knew she had to convince the Chinese authorities that she was Chinese and not infact North Korean. She explains that she was asked many many questions. These were intended to test her plausibility as to whether she was a Chinese citizen or a North Korean Citizen. Clearly the lady does speak Chinese and so she was able to answer the questions. What made her scared was the fact that she knew her use of semantics, idioms, and phonetic expressions in the way she answered the questions as well as probably the content of the questions themselves would give her away if she was not very careful. Hence why she explains that she took control of herself. Its a little like an Englishman seeking to convince US customs that he is American. It would take a great deal of imagination, not least an ability to "think" like an American. It would take self control and many other things as well. Not a miracle really just being intelligent and having a good imagination and an ability to "visualise" and present a picture of something. In this case "i am Chinese not Korean". The expression "it was a miracle" may be simply identifying with the culture of the audience. The ability to present an image to others of ones self for the purposes of deception is called physiognomy.

Its what sorcerers do and its was the folks in the video posted yesterday by Neil (Hezwelling) do. Just plain straight forward deception. In this case borne out of a desperate desire to flee a country of menace. Nice lady though! Neil was a former intelligence man in the US Navy. He would be able to confirm what I have said.

My opinion is I think that the outcome of her story could have gone either way. I think it must have seemed miraculous to her. I do think there is something behind those circumstances and I tend to believe that Gods hand is behind them. Somehow influencing things for good.

I've had two experiences myself where prior to becoming a Christian God intervened miraculously in my life.

And my dad told me once that he was drowning in a swimming pool as a young boy and a hand grabbed hold of him and dragged him to the waters edge. Yet there was nobody else anywhere near him in the pool.
