Those who tried to access the CFC website during the last weekend would know this already.
But while the rest of Christendom celebrated Good Friday and Easter, our website experienced a death and resurrection.
On Friday, March 29, 2013, some evil person attacked the CFC website and wiped out everything on it, and put it to a total death. We never faced an attack of this size or nature before.
We know that Satan hates the CFC website, because it is setting his captives free. But Satan was defeated on the cross by our Lord Jesus Christ. So we have never feared his attacks. He CANNOT harm us or our work in any way.
We have operated the CFC website right from the beginning, on the basis of our Lord’s words: “SINCE ALL AUTHORITY IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH HAS BEEN GIVEN TO ME, THEREFORE - Go and make disciples in all the nations…and teach them to do EVERYTHING I commanded you. AND I WILL BE WITH YOU ALWAYS" (Matthew 28:18-20). We have lived and worked under the authority of our Lord – and He has always been with us.
We have also offered our resources freely to the whole world on our website all these many years – without ever asking anyone for a cent, just as our Lord told us to do: “Give to others freely what you received freely” (Matt.10:8).
God is a God Who answers prayer. “Peter was kept in the prison (during the Passover days), but prayer was made fervently for him, by the church to God.” (Acts 12:5). That very night Peter was delivered. Something similar happened with the CFC website as well.
On Sunday, March 31, 2013, the CFC website was restored and it is now back again – with God’s help!!
The webteam that worked on the restoration of the site consists of eight CFC brothers, who are employed in secular jobs in different companies. They worked day and night in their spare time and did a fantastic job in a very short period of time. We praise the Lord for one more amazing demonstration through them of “Body ministry” in CFC, Bangalore – with all of them working voluntarily and joyfully unto the Lord.
God works in everything with a purpose. He shows us His power, so that our faith is strengthened. It is better to face storms and see our Lord still them, than to go through life never facing any storms at all!! God’s ways are perfect. He works everything for His glory and for our good. Praise the Lord.
200 years ago, in 1812, William Carey, the great missionary to India, faced a similar trial. He had worked on the translation of the Bible into many Indian languages. One night, a fire destroyed all his precious handwritten manuscripts – the result of his hard labour of 10 years. But Carey did not get discouraged. He did not question God as to why He had allowed the fire to destroy his manuscripts. He just sought God for supernatural strength and sat down and translated them all over again. Carey ended up translating the Bible into 6 major Indian languages and portions of it into 29 languages. The seeds of the gospel that Carey sowed 200 years ago are bearing fruit in India even today. We are honoured in CFC, to follow in the footsteps of such a faithful, dedicated, hardworking servant of the Lord, as Carey was.
Many brothers pray regularly for CFC and for our website. I hope that all of you who derive spiritual benefit from our website will pray for us regularly.
