This is one of those unique statements that we can glean all 3 interpretations,
1.The Primary Interpretation:The nation of Israel was God's son and He called them out of Egypt to bring them into the land.
2.The Prophetic Revelation:He called His Son out of Egypt when He told Joseph to bring Mary and Jesus back into the Land.
3.The Practical Application:The nation of Israel coming out of Egypt is a type of our Salvation,our Justification and living our Christian life,our Sanctification.
God calls us out of slavery of sin,loosed and freed,baptized of the Holy Spirit and placed into the Body of Christ (Crossing the Red Sea)Then we are in the wilderness of life,with a choice of living out our Christian life there living on bread and water,or we can go into that life,that abundant life by identifying with the resurrected life of Christ and letting Him live out through us by the Power of the Holy Spirit that indwells us (Crossing the Jordan)and we typify this by our water baptism.
Jesus said that He came that "we may have life and that we may have it more abundantly."How much of that abundant life we want to experience now is up to us.There are giants over there but there are grapes that it takes 2 men to carry one bunch on a pole.
Yes the fruit of that life is abundant and we can experience it now as the Spirit of God can manifest His fruit through us.(The Fruit of The Spirit)Yes there are battles to be fought,but we have the whole armour of God that we can put on,for the battle is His and it has already been won.(Ephesians 6:10-17)
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."(Romans 12:1-2)
