Army Email Labels Christian Ministries as “Domestic Hate Groups”

A U.S. Army officer sent an email to dozens of subordinates listing the American Family Association and Family Research Council as “domestic hate groups” because they oppose homosexuality — and warned officers to monitor soldiers who might be supporters of the groups.

“Just want to ensure everyone is somewhat educated on some of the groups out there that do not share our Army Values,” read an email from Lt. Col. Jack Rich to three dozen subordinates at Fort Campbell in Kentucky. “When we see behaviors that are inconsistent with Army Values – don’t just walk by – do the right thing and address the concern before it becomes a problem.” ...

I wonder if Lt.Col. Jack Rich has considered what a gay military would look like? Does he actually think encouraging homosexuals will lead to a strengthened military unit? These leaders are well educated but they have no ability to percive or to consider consequenses; their thinking is darkened and clouded by sin.

I know it is nothing new for Christians to be hated but our modern world has done an excellent job of making us look like the haters.

Nearly every second secular book I read blaims "the church" for sexual abuse or money scandals or rigid thinking or indoctrination or killing in the name of God or fill in the blank. If and when they begin taking in christians in North America, they will punish them as haters, fools, and as hindrances to the advancement of a modern society. So, it will take nothing less than a spirit filled believer to be a witness and testimony in a crisis moment for the church, to show the power, love and wisdom of God.

Amen dear brother, the true Church of Jesus Christ in the West especially is her time now to start to step out in faith and live as disciples again. The Spirit of God baptizing us will be our only hope to have an impact on a wicked and perverse generation.
