Tent of Meeting Vs Tabnernacle

Hey Can someone please help explain the different between the tent of meeting and tabernacle are they the same or different.

When Moses went to speak with God where did it take place. Were the statues of the two Cherubim in the tent of meeting or in the tabernacle or both. How did this work
