Oh, Father, God of heaven and earth; How great Thou art in all Thy ways; Your ways are perfect and without fault, error or sin; How faithful You have been to us, to me; You have loved, saved, redeemed, provided, established, heard, answered, led, directed and shown Thy marvellous ways, day in and day out before my eyes. There is none like You, O Lord God!
I know that nothing escapes Your omnipresence, omnipotence, and omniscience. You are all things, in all ways and in all places; You are God. You see and know my very heart and my very intents. You see and know the ways of Your people, in the church. You see and know the very way of our nation and all that is unfolding of over 300 million souls. Yea, I know that if You know the very hairs on each head and You hold each breath we breathe in Your hand You know each soul that has life.
Simply, from what I see in headlines, hear in conversations and know to be true of my own flesh which fails, there is none good. We all have gone astray and walked contrary unto You and Your ways. Oh God, how we need You to restore us to a place of yieldedness and surrender to Your ways. Our nation, yea, even Your church has cast off Your truth, the Bible, and given heed to humanism and self doctrines of the faith. WE have lost our first love to You. We have forsaken that good and right way that You told us not to leave nor forget. We need Your mercy and grace afresh this day.
We start a new month and come to another 'National Day of Prayer' yet multitude times over across this nation they take Your Holy Name in vain. They speak with irreverence and vileness. They choose evil over goodness, and prefer abominations over holiness. They have legalized sin. They have killed and shed blood to cover the land. You have told us, 'If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.' How much more so to a nation that says, 'we are praying', yet they refuse to humble, confess and forsake that which keeps our prayers from being heard by You and answered for our own posterity and hope. Would You cleanse us as a wicked, filthy people? would You cause us to see our wicked ways and repent and cry out to You for Your favor? "Help us, O Lord; for the godly man ceaseth and the faithful fail from among us."
Revive us again, as Your church, 'fill each heart with Thy love; may each soul be rekindled with fire from above'. WE have done much to offend You and bring occassion against Your great Name. REstore us I pray. Renew us I beg of You. Revive us again, O Lord.
Let the prayers of the saints, offered up in the golden censer before Your throne, be accepted to bring glory and honor unto Your great Name in this nation, in my home, in all the nations of the earth and in my own heart; Glorify Thy Name in all the earth Lord God Almighty!
