But In Demonstration....

E

Friends,

These words came up in my spirit yesterday,..." But in demonstration "

My first thought, before studying it out, ..was the The Lord wanted a demonstration of that revealed Word, demostrated in our lives.
But I plan to study it out, more fully, with The Lord helping.

Also with that thought that I needed to put this subject here,....for what reason,...I do not know, but I would like your thoughts in what do you see in these Scripture ,within the context ?

1Cor.2:4,?..( Paul speaking ) And my speech and my preaching were
not with enticing words of men's wisdom, but in the power of God,

And, please forgive me if I should not get back real soon or later,I hope to read this post often, but may take a while to respond,as I am into much work.

bless Lord,
elizabeth

This is just my understanding but that was HUGE for Paul to say that he didn't sway men and women with his words because before his conversion (as a Pharisee), he had used his well educated speech to kill Christians and now he had to use something else to sway the hearts of people... the power of the Living God! How humbling.

Previously before that verse the Lord gave you, Paul said, “no flesh should glory in His presence” (1.29) And then he tells them that their “faith should not stand in the wisdom of men BUT IN THE POWER OF GOD”! (2.5) And he continues with, “it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (2.9)

In Romans 15:19, Paul stated, “Through mighty signs and wonders, BY THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD; ... I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.” Non-believers are going to sigh & get aggravated with me but the demonstration of the Spirit includes signs and wonders; and Paul concludes that was part of him “fully preaching the gospel of Christ.”

Don’t be ashamed to demonstrate the power of the Living God to others and to do what you are led to do by the Spirit of God!!! (Romans 1:16) We walk by faith and not by sight (of what other folks are or aren’t doing)!

God bless you!

An often overlooked and diminished idea of the "demonstration" of the power of Christ is the manifestation of a pure and holy life and the power of Christ to strengthen our will to love Him (obey Him) above all.

1Pe_1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
