Perspectives on the World Christian Movement is a dynamic 15-week discipleship course taught by a variety of veteran missionaries, influential strategists and professors, each an expert in their respective area. You'll get the opportunity to discover what God is doing around the world and consider your part in His purposes.
What Mission Leaders are Saying:
Dan Davies (Mission Leader - Toronto)
“Having taken the course, I think this is ABSOLUTELY one course that every missionary, every church, every church worker, every church Attendee SHOULD take.”
Dr. T.V. Thomas (Director, Centre for Evangelism & World Mission)
“There is no course like Perspectives that has proven to biblically transform the Christian’s worldview and commitment to God’s mission locally and globally. It is my passion that every Christian enrolls in it.”
Mark Middleton (President, GlobalTalk/ National Representative, Haggai Institute Canada/ Executive Director, Canadian Centre for World Mission)
“Perspectives is the best summary I know of the spread of the Gospel from God’s point of view. Take the course. It will clarify your Christian worldview, focus your priorities, and make you more effective in reaching our global generation with the Gospel."
Gord Abraham (OM Canada, Ministry Network Director and Pastor)
“I think that Perspectives is the best way to get a full mission overview and a full mission passion all in one package. There is no other course offered, to my knowledge that is so extensive and at the same time so practical. Leaders (both Pastoral and Lay) in local churches need to take this course because it gives THE BIG PICTURE of Who we are and What we are here for as the community of worshipping disciples. More churches would be able to identify and refocus the “petty-small agenda squabbles” and conflicts if they could see THE BIG PICTURE that we exist for the glory of God and are called to be on mission with God to bless the nations. Can you imagine the impact on Canada and the world if most of our churches were thus inclined? IT IS POSSIBLE! Get in on the Perspectives Vision! Sign up today!”
Richard J. Konieczny (National Director, OMF International Canada)
“Blog, blogs, blogging, bloggers.... A new nomenclature for a new millennium where an emerging generation charts one's private narrative in the public arena. The goal is to engage the world with your story in a vast world.... The most substantial manner in which to chart your blog in real time is to enter the missional communities of Perspectives courses. Be online, face to face, through missionary bloggers and fellow seekers with what a missional God is doing in His world as He unfolds his story, and it is a glorious one. And, where the virtual world becomes reality, find out where your blog intersects with His story and the world. You won't be disappointed....”
Robert Cousins (AIM Int`l and Director of Tyndale Intercultural Ministries Centre)
“Engaging in missions can be going to some distant land or crossing the street in your multi-cultural neighbourhood. “Perspectives” will give you a historical, theological and cultural overview that will help equip you for the challenges of cross-cultural ministry. Each Perspectives facilitator has had significant cross-cultural mission experience, which adds personal insights to the excellent resource material of the course. Perspectives should be a required course for every member of a Church missions committee!!”
Richard Flemming (FEB Int’l, Leadership Development in Africa)
“This course has a proven track record of delivering a concise and stimulating mission education to those serious about reaching the nations for Christ. If you want to increase your understanding of God’s mission to the world, you will not do better than Perspectives!”
Don Pickel (Avant Ministries)
“From my own view point, one thing that has thrilled my heart regarding the Perspectives course, which we have held here in the Winnipeg area on a number of occasions, is to visit the mission booths at Winnipeg Missionfest, and to see them "manned" by so many Perspectives alumni who are today serving with various mission agencies in both homeland and overseas ministries.”
