For the last few years or so i have posted prayer requests for my friend keith for his salvation and also his health problems having chronic fatigue syndrome. I wanted everyone to know that the Lord has begun to work powerfully in his life. He has began to attend a church with his fiance for almost 2 months now and a very sound baptist church. The pastor of the church has been meeting with them every week to discuss the gospel of john which they have been reading a lot of it lately and also to discuss other christian doctrine and principles. My friend has been communicating and telling me that for the first time in his life he loves reading the bible, before he didnt like it he told me. Also he has began to have a great disgust for sin in his life. He also has been quoting verses to me and seems to have a great interest for the things of God and also as better outlook on everything and hope. I think this just proves that you can't force salvation on anyone or give someone false assurance of it, it will only lead them further from the truth. You must present the truth and the gospel accurately and what they must do to be saved, but the rest is left up to God to do the rest. He had been through everything the past ten years, the sinners prayer and nothing changed in him, he still doubted. I am so happy for the faithful teachers sermonindex has put on here that preach the true gospel of salvation and all the great truths of scripture not watered down. It really has affected me and how i witness to the lost. Not to say the scripture doesn't already tell us but sometimes it takes someone to point it out to us.
