This isn't a conversation about how to prevent sin from affecting our minds, but rather a testimony about God proving himself faithful in a verse of scripture.
This verse : and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4 v 7)
The anxiety that can come through a fear of cancer was put upon me by a hospital specialist about 6 months ago.
It led to sleepless nights but whenever fear was about to overwhelm me, the Lords spirit would intervene and gently call my name.
I knew he was telling me not to fear but also to stop thinking like this. He was also fulfilling the verse of putting a guard on my mind and heart.
Even at times when trying once to speak to myself that I had cancer the Lord sharply intervened calling my name with a rebuke.
It turned out that the Lord had it right all along. It wasn't cancer but an infection.
How did God know ? Because he's an absolute genius...
And these verses are as solid as a rock :
Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
