Prayer needed for my daughter

Please pray for my daughter that she will respect me and not say profound things to me because when she calls me out my name I get pretty upset and today I hit her, not hard but I snapped. The things that she said really hurt me. She doesn't have any respect for me what so ever. She leaves the house late and when I try to call her she want even answer her cell phone. It seems like she wants me to worry about her.

Are you the father or mother? Does her other parent live in the house with you?

You did not say how old she is, but you must realize that at a certain age the parent will be among the least respected people in their circle of acquaintances.

So....you just keep praying, not just for her but for you. Children have a way of exposing our faults. You may think you are very mature until you get children and find your wishes challenged. Then you discover huge gaps in your maturity that needs a lot of growing.
