Holiness teaching is not just about sin.

sermonindex Jul 21, 2013

It is, along with Christian Mysticism, about seeking to be be united with God.

When one is united with God, there is deliverance from all which dragged one down previously and sharing in His nature, in a way that the previous time as a believer, did not produce.

Even in all of the areas where we think that God understands due to the terrible life we have led, or the terrible partner we have. Or the terrible job etc etc.

There is nothing that He cannot heal in us so that we are able to obey Him completely.

If we are clinging on to any excuse for our behaviour, or our addictions or our angry outbursts, these things are keeping us out of the kingdom.

Being fully united with Christ restores us to the position Adam held and we walk with Christ as he did in his innocence. He longs to open His heart up to His children but cannot while they still have a veil before their eyes.

When we allow Him to bring us back to the cross where our backslidings will be healed, He reveals Himself in a glorious way in all of His glory of which we only glimpsed at previously.

All that is required is that we give up the right to ourselves and be willing to accept anything that He chooses for us, to be accepted with thanksgiving and joy even severe suffering.

This is a step from the top of a cliff and the enemy will make us fear for what will come next. Many have taken this step and say that there is nothing to fear for having Him near is worth anything and any amount of suffering is an honour to be worthy of suffering with Him.

glad you're not giving up on this topic

I believe its possible too. And I've gotten a lot of slack when I talk about it. I just hold the faith to myself and know it will help me pursue this said attainable goal of union. I couldn't seek for something I didn't believe was attainable in Christ.

Blessings to you

Acts 4:
29 “And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Your bond-servants may speak Your word with all confidence,
30 while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.”
31 And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.

When our Spirit filled hearts are united with each other, and with the Lord's great commission, sin, entire sanctification, second blessing or any such fruitless babble) will not even be on our radar screen.

We will be speaking the Word of God with boldness.

Blessings,

Joch
