What if we were as committed to Christ and His Church as we are to our employer and their company?
What if we considered the responsibility that we have to reach the lost for Jesus more important than our job?
What if we were as ashamed and embarrassed for not completing the work of the Lord as we are when our employers discover that we have not done our duties?
What if we were as afraid of displeasing Jesus as we are displeasing our employer?
What if we had the same standard for showing up to God’s house as we do showing up to work: rain or shine, cold or hot, snow or heat wave, tired or refreshed?
What if we were as afraid of missing a church service as we are to miss a day of work?
What if we were as careful to be on time for church as we are for our employer?
What if we were to treat our employers and their business like we do the church?
What if we worked as hard to reach spiritual success as we do to reach financial success?
What if we were as diligent to free ourselves from the debt that we owe to all men who do not know the Gospel, as we are to free ourselves from the debt of our creditors?
What if we lived for eternity and not just for today and retirement?
What if we were as committed to Christ and His Church as we are to our own comforts and concerns?
What if?
