This morning I was listening to this sermon and I noticed something that is bothering me. Paris explains how he went to a "primitive" tribe in Africa when he was younger and it how incredible it was that God had given them a knowledge of sin. That it must have been God since they were primitive and had never heard of the Bible, etc. Then a few minutes later Paris is discussing a conversation he was having with those "primitive" people. When Paris asked if they had ever killed before one of them asked him, "Are you with the government?" How can a "primitive" tribesman know about the government? And even if he can and still be considered primitive in his culture and actions, doesn't the fact that he knows what the government is and how it works (at least to some degree since he knew he would be in trouble if he killed someone) mean that those people could have had contact with missionaries, people with knowledge of God, etc. in the past?
