As the title suggests hope that maybe what follows will bring about a true sense of concern and intercession and not fall into the easier route of controversy. Most of us will likely agree but a rebuttal is necessary to any who may have come across the following:A very subtle but disturbing ad I caught last night on the History channel http://uccoc.org/view/http://www.accessibleairwaves.org/?view2 And after looking into it a bit more and reading through all the jargon found this to be very disturbing. This goes right back to definitions again. Under the banner of "inclusiveness" the fixed statements of scripture are being re-interpreted and applied, cleverly twisted and turned back on the heads of those who hold to Gods word as unchanging.Think it goes beyond just the issue of homosexuality, there are plenty of other sins that don't generate as much discussion as they should and to just single this one out in particular is to miss the point of the whole...And that is the undermining of Gods word, re-defining it and re-creating it into our own image, of what it says and what God meant when He said it. That a large amount of people are being told that 'God still speaks' is not paramount to the thought that He has changed His mind or His word, and that it seems is the greater sin, the assumption that we know better than He.This is truly grievous.
