You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with oil of Joy.
It is not enough for God children to love righteousness, they must also hate evil.
Believers united to Christ must participate in God's anger agains sin, in a sincere love of righteousness, and hatred of wickedness hating what God hates. To Love righteousness and hate wickedness to grieve when they see the unrighteous deeds.
Let those who love the Lord hate evil.
To fear the Lord is to hate evil.

Seek Good, not evil that you may live. then the Lord God Almighty will be with you, Just as you say he is. Hate evil Love Good. Hate what is evil cling to what is good.
Cling means to hold on tightly or tenaciously, cleave.
We are not to love the world or anything in the world The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
