A book that many of us are familier with on SI. If I remember correctly was critical of this song. ( I believe this was the song)
recently the group that I fellowship with, are going through that book.
a good question was asked, after reading the critical statement in the book.
The question was, If we are not trusting in 'Jesus’ blood and righteousness' than what else is their to trust in our own righteousness ?
The question was a good one.
I do not have the book in front of me, so I am hesitant to give the name of the book or the name of the author, in the case that I am misunderstanding something.
If you are familer with the book and what I am referring to what are your thoughts ?
If you are not familer with what I am writing of, what is your opinion ? is the song some how endorseing cheap grace, I personally do not get that impression from the larics, but what are your thoughts ?
The first time I went through the book, I did not catch the part about being critical of this song, but ever since we went through that part as a group I have been disturbed by it, since so much of the rest of the book seemed full of good information
