Been thinking about loving others.

"The Life” still becomes "the Light of men”! God forms His life and His mind and His thinking in us through the medium of love. It takes some time and it can’t be done in a vacuum. We’ve got to live it out with others every day. But it’s very real. He’s real. Yet, we will never really know how real He is, or be real ourselves””men and women in His fullness””until we daily LIVE a true love in the midst of His Church and the world He died for. That’s His full intent. Just as it was so for Jesus, so it is for us.

Thinking about what it really means to learn to love as HE loves. So many topics come and go for me and yet I think this one I should linger on and really seek to know HIS heart.

///Thinking about what it really means to learn to love as HE loves. So many topics come and go for me and yet I think this one I should linger on and really seek to know HIS heart.///

I have also been thinking much about this, Love is more than action it is compassion and effection.
Though we bestow all our goods to feed the poor and lay down our lives to the point of being persectued by burning.
If we have not Agape it profiteth us nothing.

The heart set on ascetism, and by that I mean a person whom believes that they can attain Gods favor by there various acts of ascetism always lacks Love,
Though they might be very willing to bestow all their goods to feed the poor and lay down their lives for their faith. They do so not from a heart of compassion and effection but instead from a heart set on appeasing God by their works.

So the question we must ask is where do we get a heart that overflows with compassion and effection ?
We know that action does not creates such a heart nor is it in and of itself evidence of such a heart.

1 Timothy 1:5
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

Faith unfeigned creates a good conscience, a good conscience creates a pure heart, a pure heart will naturally over flow with charity love Agape.

It is faith unfeigned on this reality : Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Good morning MJ, love for me comes and came through encountering God. I had no love until I met Jesus. It was He who gave me a new heart and filled it with love, not theoretically but actually. Yet of course, like everything else taught by Jesus, we must abide, continue to come, continue to seek, continue to thirst and hunger after Him. Our proximity to Him will determine the level of our love and obedience. Everything begins and ends at the feet of Jesus..........bro Frank

Thank you both for being so kind to share your hearts as the FATHER gave leading. I to am seeing more and more each day that the only true view I can have of love must be deeply rooted in HIM. The love I have in my heart now planted there as a tiny seed and cultivated and cared for by HIM has grown. As I look back at my life I realize how selfish my attitude of love was, now as I grow closer to HIM so does the love HE has given me for others grown. Of course I realize that I must stay in HIM, be near to HIM, and walk with HIM so that love does not grow cold. In all the topics and things I have considered of late I feel as if a part of me has forgotten HE is my first love and it was that love that I saw in HIM that drew me to HIM knowing I needed HIM so desperately, knowing I was lost in my sin apart from HIM. Its not the cares and distractions of this world that hold my heart, its JESUS and if I keep my focus on HIM everything else will come into place just as it should.

Below is just another small portion of a teaching I was reading. It painted such a beautiful picture of HIS love that I just felt to share it here with some few.

God bless

You become more and more acquainted with the love of the Body of Christ and the Vision and His heart for His bride. And as you pour your heart and your life and your mind into that, it grows and matures and flowers and blossoms. Like a plant, new life springs up continually with a new blossom and a new bud that’s always changing. It’s always better and more mature. The roots are deeper and the life is greener and the flowers are more fragrant, and it grows. Love does that. Nothing else does that. Everything else vanishes. Tongues cease and prophecies pass away and fade. Everything else vanishes and diminishes, but love grows and grows. That IS pure religion! That IS what it’s about. The other stuff is great. But only as it’s a blossom out of the vine of God’s love, out of the plant of God’s planting and His vineyard.

This is a vision for you to uphold and to plead with God for! It’s the True Love of God. It isn’t something that can be attained, but it’s certainly something you can beg God for. You can beg God to open your heart and put that sparkle in your eyes of a genuine love. Beg Him for that, instead of living with the competing thoughts that drive you out of your mind (whether the boredom or the extreme thoughts that need to get more extreme in order to keep us entertained). Love makes all that stuff obsolete and unnecessary. As you grow in His Love, you’ll grow in patience and kindness. Your thoughts and doctrines will make sense, and they’ll hang themselves in the proper place in your heart and mind. Your "doctrine” will begin to form very patiently and carefully in your heart, rather than be acquired through mental gymnastics and comparisons. "The Life” still becomes "the Light of men”!
