I was thinking this morning how often GOD will use the things HE has laid upon the hearts of another to open my eyes to some truth. This morning I came across this quote from David Brainerd and I thought I would share some of the things FATHER has quickened to my heart...

Far to often I struggle with this very thing. I seek and strive in my own power and strength to do a thing, or accomplish a task, only to come up shot, disappointed and frustrated with my failure. Over the years I have learned its never by my own strength that I was able to overcome sin, or come through a storm. IT was always the hand of JESUS there with me, guiding me and holding me up, carrying me through. Self in its arrogance and pride wants to take credit wants to feel good by saying look see what I have done, but its all a lie, nothing I do or have ever done that can be called good is to my own credit all praise and glory goes to HIM. Because it was only ever by HIS strength that I was able to continue on. IT is only my HIS grace and mercy that I am able to see and hear. If I were to set out on my own, walk in a self attitude and think I was able to keep all that HE commands me to I would fail before I ever even started because the very thought of doing anything apart from HIM is a selfish one and so the life lived in reliance on self is one of sin from the start only a life lived submitted to HIM, trusting and relying on HIM can ever truly be called good!
