I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenly in Christ Jesus. Phil 3:12, 14 Lord help me to exert all my strength to press on with intense concentration in order not to fall short of the goal that which Christ has set before my life. That was the motive of Paul's life He had received a glimpse of the glory of heaven He had resolved that his whole life, would be centred around his determination to press on and one day see Christ face to face. Get your mind off earthly things our citizenship is in heaven. Through out our lives all kinds of distractions and temptations, threaten to choke off our commitment to the Lord. What is needed is a " Forgetting what is behind, " and straining forward in Christ. Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus. Heb 12:1 Looking to our Lord, Trusting in him and be committed to do his will and completing the work to which God has call us.
