I am quite surprised that no post or threads have been raised in the forum concerning Saeed Abidini. Who you might ask? Who is this?
Saeed is s brother in Jesus Christ who has been imprisoned in Iran for his faith in Jesus Christ. This happened over a year sgo. He went to Iran to build an orphanage for orphans. While there he was arrested by the Iranian government for his faith in Jesus Christ.
Saeed became a Christian in Iran about a decade ago. Initially he was a Moslem. Being trained to be a suicide bomber. But Saeed was always depressed. It was through a gospel CD he found Jesus and salvation. Saeed became involved in gospel out reach to other Iranians and sharing his testimony. He was persecuted. Later he came to America where he became an American citizen. Met his wife Negma. Trained for ministry at Calvary Chapel. Yet always had a heart for Iran. Thus he made several trips to Iran to share Jesus.
Saeed has been imprisoned for over a year. He has been sentenced to an 8 year prison tern for crimes against the Islamic regime of Iran. That being a Christian. Daily his health fails. It us doubtful that he will survive 8 years. Reports indicate that Gid us using Saeed in prison. An intercessor told me the reason Saeed was transferred from Evin Prison to an even worse prison was he was winning to many people to Christ.
In reading Saeed's smuggled out letters one gets the idea he us willing to accept martyrdom for Christ. He knew the risks when he went back to Iran.
Though an American citizen Saeed had been disavowed by our government. Or so it would appear. Granted that Obama or Kerry do not have the power or influence to get Saeed released. They have kept very silent on the imprisonment of Saeed. Is ut because Saeed is a born again Christian and tbis administration is no friend of Christians. Would Obama not have spoken out sooner if this had been a Moslem imprisoned? One wonders.
Negma, Saeed's wife has been trying to get the US to get Iran to release Saeed. But with little success from Obama or Kerry. Thankfully Congress is showing some interest as Negma along with the ACLJ testified last week about Saeed's condition.
Our government has forgotten about Saeed. To be expected from this administration. But will we forget about him? Those of us who are his spiritual family? What can I do you ask? Dear saint you can pray for Saeed. Not hard. Just remember him in your prayers. Remember his family. You can even come on Persecution Watch and lift him up.
I pray now the forum knows who Saeed Abidini is.
