I've probably raised this before, but one thing that I find disconcerting on this forum is how many folk choose anonymity to the point that you don't know a first name, if they are male or female or even what part of the world the live in. Many times these anonymous ones like to post great swathes of teaching or bring strong rebukes.
Ok, we are posting on a public forum, so i understand that we don't want to give personal contact details, but surely a first name and a city is not going to compromise your privicy! After all, if you think you have a right to be received, surely we all have a right to know who we are engaging with to some degree.
It strikes me that this is all part of walking in the light. If we want hide our identity completely then there is something missing. There are a lot here who are very open with who they are and you will know their full names, their blogs and maybe met them at conferences. This is true of the moderators.
So come on and put some basic info in your profile, so we can at least know to some extent who we are talking to.
