Freer Logion addition to Mark 16:14

And they excused themselves, saying, "This age of lawlessness and unbelief is under Satan, who does not allow the truth and power of God to prevail over the unclean things of the spirits [or: does not allow what lies under the unclean spirits to understand the truth and power of God]. Therefore reveal thy righteousness now" - thus they spoke to Christ. And Christ replied to them, "The term of years of Satan's power has been fulfilled, but other terrible things draw near. And for those who have sinned I was delivered over to death, that they may return to the truth and sin no more in order to inherit the spiritual and incorruptible glory of righteousness which is in heaven.

The ending of Mark in this codex is especially noteworthy because it includes a unique insertion after Mark 16:14, referred to as the "Freer Logion".

It does not seem right for disciples to be talking back essentially teaching Jesus Christ. Throughout the gospels mostly they ask very short questions in response because Jesus Himself was the teacher they were the disciples.

true however they by then were well versed in everything of the Kingdom. Peter does rebuke Jesus

I don't know. there were probably lots of fragments floating around that people heard first hand that never made it into a surviving copy of a Gospel

another thought that I had about a teaching from a Zac Poonen book you might think interesting, in its perspective on this:

Jesus associated intimately with the lowest strata of society and moved among them as their equal. And yet, although He was sinless and perfect, He never made others feel awkward because of their imperfections. He had no patronizing air about Him when He moved around with His disciples. In fact, He moved so freely with them that they felt free to rebuke Him and even to give Him advice (Mt. 16:22; Mk. 4:38; 9:5).
