After the communist takeover in Russia, party officials would journey to rural villages. Their task would be indoctrinate the local populace to the wonders of Marxism.
In one such a village a party cadre member ranted on for hours about the hope of the workers paradise. The official spoke of the glories of communism and socialism. The village people where required to hear the presentation under the barrels of machine guns.
After after the ranting of the Soviet official. He told the village priest, "I give you 5 minutes to refute me". The priest responded, "Friend I need only 5 seconds". Raising his hands the priest shouted, " My brothers and sisters, THE LORD HAS RISEN"!!! With one shout the villagers cried, "HE HAS RISEN INDEED"!!!
It was said their shout drowned out the machine gun fire that was turned on them.
