Thank you both for your prayers. My friends name is Lee, truth is he is so much more then a friend. He has been apart of my family for many years. He lives with my mother, they are platonic room mates and have helped to care for and support one another for years. My mother is taking care of Lee in his final days here on this earth. She is almost eighty years old herself and this has been very difficult for her as well. I spoke with her last night and she said Lee is not in pain, they have him very sedated so he won't be. He is at home with her, she has to give him his medicine every two hours but he won't eat and won't take any water.
Over the years I have tried to share with my mother about JESUS, but I realize now that I did not take more care to share with Lee specifically. I think over the many conversations and talks we shared and I wonder that I did not make time to speak more with him about the things that matter most. I realize now how easy it is to think you have all the time in the world so chatting about weather, or other non important things seems so innocent but we never really do know when someones time will come to an end here on this earth. Again I am reminded of how vital it is to be a light to those around me always, to share JESUS and never stop praying, for this journey is so short that we are all on. In a blink, in a moment those we love and care about most can pass from this life into the next...so while my friend still has breath is in body I pray. "FATHER you know this man's heart, you know and I place my trust and faith in YOU completely. LORD I pray for YOUR will to be done, in his life, my mothers and my own. LORD in times like these words fail me but I know YOU never will! AMEN!!!
God bless and again thank you for allowing me to share this here.
