This is another part of the series. It isn't very clear what order they go in but this another part. For those interested, John Hunter worked with Major W. Ian Thomas whose is know for the sermon "A Grain of Wheat" which is listed in the Featured Sermons.

Last night I listened to "The Man of God" sermon by John Hunter that is posted below. So this afternoon I thought that I might study 1 Kings 13 to some degree and turned there in my Bible. I laid my Bible off to the side as I searched for pen and paper, and as sometimes is the case, I ran into something that I was studying previously and got sidetracked. As I was thinking of pursuing the previous study, the page of the Bible that I was turned to lifted up and started to turn in the breeze of the overhead fan. This caught my attention, but as I watched on, the page started to dance back and forth between the two pages that contained 1 Kings 13 - I sat watching in amazement. Needless to say, I went back to 1 Kings 13. :)

As I read of king Jeroboam's hand drying up, it reminded of the time that I read of such a thing on SermonIndex just after signing up. What is interesting is that just a short time later the Holy Spirit got me out of bed, and back on the computer, and presented me with the verses that talked of the man of God praying for the kings hand. My computer screen confronted me until I bowed my head and prayed. And then something changed, but I know not what it was.

HeartSong, I'm glad you were kept on track. The Lord who broke the altar in two at a word can get your attention with a fan.

HeartSong, I'm glad you were kept on track. The Lord who broke the altar in two at a word can get your attention with a fan.

Well, sometimes I do not pay attention as I should. Twice He has had me to do a full body slam. I didn't get hurt either time, but it sure did get my attention. I don't necessarily think He does this with everyone, but I have asked Him to do whatever is necessary to keep me from going to the left or to the right - and He always takes us at our word.

Thank you for posting these sermons. They have all been a blessing and I am learning much. I also thank you for your kindness.
