Very true.
This reminds me of a story I once heard. An Evangelist was Preaching a revival in a certain town. One night, an Indian man came to the meeting, was convicted by the Holy Ghost, repented of his sins and got saved. After a period of Time had passed by the evangelist decided to go see the Indian man. When he got there the man said, " The Flesh and The Spirit are like two dogs fighting inside me. "
The preacher asked him, " Which one is winning?"
His reply was, " The one I feed the most."
Indeed it is a choice on our part as to which we feed, the Fresh or the Spirit.
If I choose to feed my flesh with television and the internet my inner man is dead to the things of Christ. But if I choose to feed my inner man with the truth of Christ then my inner man is quickened to the things of Christ. But it is a choice on my part as to which dog I am going to feed.
Jesus told Martha that that Mary had `chosen` the good part. Martha too could gave chosen to sit at the feet of Jesus and listen to His Word. But she was distracted.
So which phydeaux will you choose to feed today.:-)
