James Robison

I love Sermonindex (both the website itself and you youtube channel) and have been greatly blessed by it, especially the sound sermons by many of the great biblical teachers uploaded here.

I recently logged onto youtube and found a few sermons that had been uploaded of James Robison, of whom I had never previously heard of, but decided that 'The Dangers of Judgementalism' sounded like an interesting title, now while I think that many good points had been mentioned by him, I also had concern of the many off things that were contained in this sermon.

I had conducted a little search on the net and asked a few Christian friends if they knew or were aware of his teachings, I have since found that he is known to be an ecumenist and been told to mark and avoid this man.

I was just wondering if some light could be shed on this by yourselves, it would be greatly appreciated.

I grew up knowing James Robinson as a Baptist but I believe that several years ago he was baptized in the Holy Spirit and speaks in tongues now BUT... you would never know it because that is not the focus of his ministry.

About him being an "ecumentist," why don't YOU pray and ask Christ what HE thinks of James Robinson and his ministry, then proceed from there?? :)

James Robison has had a heart for many
years for the unity of the Spirit among
believers. Having been a Baptist that was
filled with the Spirit, he labored to bring
Charismatics and non Charismatics together
on the ground of Christ.

James Robison also has a heart for missions.
He was very open and candid about
receiving deliverance from demons when
Milton Green prayed for him as a young
Minister.

The biggest thing I remember about James Robison was hearing him as he opened his bible and said something like this "" I used to open this book and look for sermons but now I look for 'LIFE' ! God is surely more interested in us ministering His life and not just a well organized sermon. Thanks James!
