Ï came across this statement today - "The root cause of antinomianism is legalism."

It's something which I haven't fully grasped... anyone would like to share their thoughts on that?

na i dont see it like that the root casue antinominisim is satanism which is lawlessnes ,,one doesnt need to be legalistic at all to be lawless ,,,,antinonisim teaches all will go to heaven regardles of wich laws he breakes

legalisims teaches one needs to folow extrabibical laws to make it to heaven

even tho both come from satinisim they opisite polararitys like two sides to a coin

Antinomianism can be an extreme response to legalism.

It is an unhealthy response obviously.

Sort if like a kid brought up in a strong conservative home that turns into a leftist hippie in college.
