Online prayer meeting for SermonIndex

I would like to throw out an idea for the members of SI. I was wondering if anyone might be interested in praying together online via live chat for this ministry and for revival in general. If there is interest in doing this, I'm thinking it can be accomplished by using a piece of free software called Roger Wilco (you can download it HERE). This software is popular among online gamers but would suit our needs quite well. Using this software, a microphone, and your PC's sound card we could pray together over the internet at no cost to anyone. I could try hosting the chat room from my ADSL connection, it should have enough bandwidth to allow a small group to chat together.I'm thinking we could do this maybe Sunday afternoons around 3PM EST and just pray for a short while together, each person taking a turn in intercession. You can learn more about Roger Wilco HERE.Just a thought, please let me know what you guys think. In Christ,Ron

Hi Ron. I would certainly like to do this. Please let me know if you are able to get it going. Love, Dian.

I was wondering if anyone might be interested in praying together online via live chat for this ministry and for revival in general.Hi Ron,I would like to definetly have something setup in this like manner that would allow for live text chat and even audio chat so people could pray and fellowship. I would want to have a software setup that is just used for SermonIndex and is not some generic software that everyone else can use. The problem would be that there is much cause for people to stumble and also distrupt Gods people in these generic audio messaging companies, yahoo, msn, aim, etc..This has been something I have been praying that could get started, along with live seminars of an bible teacher sharing via audio/video. I do think it would be good to wait until I could get something setup in this manner so there is that safeguard in place. Any ideas in general would be great.

Could you expand on that for me? Also, there shouldn''t be any disruptions as Roger Wilco allows you to create a private channel that is password protected, it is not like the instant messaging services. Those who would wish to join the prayer meeting could be e-mailed the password and ip address of the host each week to join.I'm not sure it would be worth it to go through the trouble and cost of creating a SI only application when something like Roger Wilco is freely avaliable and can easily be secured to prevent unwanted interruptions. In Christ,Ron
