Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39 .... Coming to pass soon???

When I was growing up (in cold war era) I heard much about some interpretations of the names in Ezekiel ch. 38 supposedly meaning the Soviet Union. In the last few years I have read other Hebrew scholars saying that the places mentioned were directly to the north of Israel (Turkey area). Could it be that this current ISIS issue will culminate tn the fulfillment of Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39?
