I've been an observer of this forum for a long time now. I've decided to post this. This may be my one and only post, for I do not wish to involve myself in the fighting that takes place here.I want to say this to the Catholic haters here:The Bible says: Romans 10:9 For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (NLT)This is all it takes to be saved. Catholics confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord, and believe in their hearts that God raised him from the dead. Therefore, they are saved.Who else believes this? Baptists. Methodist. Jehovah Witnesses. Church of God. Assemblies of God. Mormons. Episcopalians. Virtually every Christian denomination! They are all saved.So why the fighting over petty doctrinal nuances?Why fight over Bible translations? In the preface of some Bibles it point out the fact that the KJV has "many grave defects" which need correction. Do we presume to know more of linguistics than the scholars who have studied Greek and Latin and Hebrew all their lives? A modern Bible is simply God's word in our language of today. He did not hide it away in archaic English prose.So stop fighting, everyone. The road to heaven is wide enough for everyone to come along.
