The day of resurrection!
\tEarth, tell it out abroad;
\tthe passover of gladness,
\tthe passover of God.
\tFrom death to life eternal,
\tfrom earth unto the sky,
\tour Christ hath brought us over,
\twith hymns of victory.

\tOur hearts be pure from evil,
\tthat we may see aright
\tthe Lord in rays eternal
\tof resurrection light;
\tand listening to his accents,
\tmay hear, so calm and plain,
\this own "All hail!" and, hearing,
\tmay raise the victor strain.

\tNow let the heavens be joyful!
\tLet earth the song begin!
\tLet the round world keep triumph,
\tand all that is therein!
\tLet all things seen and unseen
\ttheir notes in gladness blend,
\tfor Christ the Lord hath risen,
