Greg Laurie Says America's Hope Lies in God's House, Not White House

sermonindex May 13, 2015

Greg Laurie said: "God doesn't point the finger at the White House, he points the finger at His House. It's us, folks"...."Do we need spiritual revival today?" he asked the pastors and church leaders, suggesting it starts with individuals. "Are we being the godly persons we're meant to be?"

Thank you brother for posting this excellent
article by Greg Laurie. I agree with every
thing that he said.

Our hope and trust must be on our Rock,
the Sure Foundation that can never be
moved. The storms of life cannot move
those whose spiritual House is built on
Jesus Christ, who is this nation's only
hope of salvation and deliverance.

For IT IS TIME for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? ”ŽAnd "If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” ”ŽTherefore let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good. - 1 Peter 4:17-19

Judgment may begin with the household of God but it will continue with those outside the household of God.

Sufferings were endured by Jesus Christ and genuine Christians may suffer as we follow in His Steps. Our sufferings will be temporary but the sufferings endured by those outside of a good relationship with Jesus Christ will be much greater and enduring.

I was actually thinking about this topic before I fell asleep last night.

The Church in the USA seems lazy. We just pray that our leaders (mostly all not true believers) to make the right decisions to "save" our country.

The early church did not pray that Caesar would make the right decisions to change the world. They THEMSELVES changed the world through the power of the HS working in them.

But that is too much bother for the church today. We can't be bothered to take an honest look inward.

How in the world can we expect evil men to make the right decisions when we cannot make the hard and right decisions for ourselves?

Lysa mentioned this yesterday in another post but it bears repeating.
