Fellowship

I don't have fellowship with any christians, because I don't think I know any. All of the churches I have been to have something radically wrong with them. They're all either dead (no presence of God) or there is another spirit there. When I ask people what God has been saying to them lately all I get are blank stares, or they awkwardly change the subject. I never get to talk to anyone except Jesus. The loneliness is too much for me to handle. I'm not married either (I've given up on that; no woman would want a burned out ex-junkie like me). But I need fellowship. Please pray for me. Satan always goes after lone sheep.

Nigel, please be merciful in your heart about the shortcomings of others. My close brothers and sisters sometime have difficulty answering the question about what God is saying to them, but I keep asking. It is not a question Christians think about, even though we should!

You need fellowship. Part of being a follower is being a fellower. Be a fellow.

Dear brother, I once was without fellowship and I prayed to the Lord about it and He told me "if you can't find fellowship, make it!" I was a bit shocked, but instantly knew what the Lord was telling me in my spirit and I began to witness to people and I led someone to the Lord.

The first person I led to the Lord was a drug addict and he got gloriously saved and we had fellowship. Then I asked the Lord what I should teach him (I was one year old in the Lord), and He told me to teach him what I had been taught (by the Lord). So, we talked and fellowshipped all of the time and I taught him by praying with him and reading the word with him and we witnessed together. Doing these things together was a great education for both of us and it also reinforced in me the word of God. Then we had another brother, another drug addict delivered by the Lord. Eventually, there were 8 brothers and we had wonderful fellowship as we prayed with one another, supported, encouraged and cried with one another over burdens.

Please be encouraged that you and the Lord are a mighty army and ask the Lord for one soul, just one. And sow the Gospel and the Lord's love to the lost. Cast your bread upon the waters and it will come back to you.

I am praying for you and expecting God to do great things in your life and with your life. If you have not received the baptism in the Holy Spirit seek the Lord for that, it made a big difference in my life.

It is not God's desire for any of his sheep to be alone. You are not a 100% Christian unless you are part of a Church. If you know the importance of being part of a fellowship, you will cry and seek for it. Please pray about a Church, God would definitely take you to one. Because you are praying according to God's will.

When you go to a Church, expect only one thing, are the elders humble enough to learn. If this is there, then all other things will follow.

Do not expect to find a perfect Church, even the Church of Jesus was not perfect, there was a person sealing from the money bag, yet the leader (Jesus) allowed him to possess the Money bag!

See that the Church's vision is to raise up disciples and not wealthy and successful people but pure disciples of Jesus.

It's great that we can have churches or housegroups to go to. I don't know of anyone in the churches in this town that believe in the value of repentance like we can see in the sermons on this site.
We got to put it behind us though, when we go to church, and hope we can share our interests of following Christ with others.

So many have fallen back from going to church in the location around here, about 20 people that once attended. Very sad to see it. And it becomes a habit to not attend somewhere, as I used to know when I didn't go for a while as a young believer. Hope you get somewhere Nigel.

I do understand that "Christianity" is in a sad state of affairs, today. Many in the Church do not know what Christianity is. Pick from the following what you think it is:

1. Standardized belief system
2. Consensus of doctrine
3. Confessing and conforming to doctrinal data
4. Religion
5. Orthodox belief-system
6. Commonality of creeds
7. Jesus Christ
