When the Foundations are Being Destroyed, What Can the Righteous Do?
For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. (Pslams 11:2, 3, 4).
It is with a heavy heart that we received the news today that the Supreme Court has redefined marriage as being between one man and one woman.
The foundations of this nation are under attack as once again we have received an unjust ruling by the highest court of the land.
Yet, we serve a just judge who is the King of kings and the Lord of Lord's. As sons and daughters of the most high God, we will not bow down or come into agreement with this unrighteous decision of the Supreme Court.
For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
it is he who will save us. (Isaiah 33:22)
The unrighteous judges have spoken, but we must continue to speak and proclaim what our righteous judge, King Jesus, has said:
"And the Lord said, "Hear what the unrighteous judge said; now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them? "I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18: 6-8).
As intercessors and prayer warriors, may we not grow weary in what we are witnessing in this nation, but may we make our appeal to Heaven, seeking the Lord's divine intervention, repenting and judging ourselves.
"Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. "For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you." (Isaiah 60: 1,2).…
There is something that the righteous can do, and it is to take a stand with God, and proclaim boldly what God has said concerning marriage.
"Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:22-24)
