Chattanooga Shooting: Four Marines Dead in Shooting at Military Offices

Four Marines were killed and three other people were injured today in an horrific shooting in Chattanooga, Tennessee that rocked the country, according to the mayor and military officials.

Witnesses said that they heard dozens of shots as the suspected gunman, identified as 24-year-old Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez, opened fire on two military installations sending people running for cover, according to the Associated press.

Abdulazeez, of Hixson, Tenn., was killed in a firefight with responding police officers after the rampage, a U.S. official said. The FBI said Friday night that the manner of his death was still being determined.

Chattanooga is a very lovely area. It's sad that these people died as well as the shooter. I've seen some other stories about this and they have information about other attacks over the past ten or so years.

The thing that puzzles me is why all the 'lone wolf gunmen' never seem to make it into custody, being killed in gun fights that ensue after their attacks. I would think this is very important as a priority for investigation.

I wonder what legislation will stem from this incident.

US should do something about such home grown terrorists. I do not find anything wrong in discriminating a particular community or religion that is leading to such terrorist activities in the name of Religion. There is nothing wrong in adding additional security scan on these people. If it can save lives then what is wrong in having additional scans on potential suspects.
