1 John 2:18 "Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.”
Jesus is not anti anything. He is. Revelation 1:8 " I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 21:5 And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new. And He said, Write, for these words are faithful and true.”
When a person is born again he becomes a part of the I am, of Jesus Christ. "The Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Romans 8:11
2 Cor. 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
We are born with a rebellious spirit. A spirit of anti-authority that rebels against the I am of God.
God is not anti anything. He always introduces Himself to man as "The I am. " He told Moses to tell the children of Israel in Exodus 3:14 " God said to Moses, " I am who I am”; and He said, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, " I am has sent me to you”.
This I am-ness of God still redeems His creation from the slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. See Romans 8:19-25
The antichrist of our generation rebels against this truth. This spirit convinces multitudes that God’s principles are old fashioned and were for a previous generation. This is how we are robbed of the unchanging truth of scripture and the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Jeremiah 6:16 Thus says the Lord, "Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, "We will not walk in it.”
This is the antichrist of our generation. But they said, "We will not walk in it.”
There are many so called "Revelations of Jesus Christ” in the Church today. The old ways of prophecy and teaching of the scriptures are considered boring, out of touch, and spiritually dead.
Here is where many who are seeking God become deceived. They become anti ”“ Church structure, authority, and even antichrist all the while believing they have found liberty in Christ.
We must repent from the anti ”“ spirit within us and the Lord will open our eyes of understanding to test the spirits that seek to lead us astray as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so our minds will be lead astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.
