Treasures of Wisdom

followthelamb Oct 2, 2015

Treasures of Wisdom is a devotional booklet containing writings of Martha Wing Robinson. The booklet was compiled by Mr. and Mrs. Gordon P. Gardiner.

Mr. Gardiner wrote a biography on Mrs. Robinson's life entitled "Radiant Glory" which you can read online here: https://sites.google.com/site/radiantglory/radiantglory-contents

(Just started reading this booklet recently and it has been such a blessing. Will try to post each day's entry in hope that it might be a blessing to those on Sermon Index too.)

October 1:

"Endure unto the end.
Night passes. Dawn is breaking.
Be ready for thy Saviour's call to thee;
What matter then what trials
have crossed thy pathway,
What stormy billows tossed thee on life's restless sea?
Behold, He cometh! O my soul! As clothed upon
With immortality you meet Him in the skies
And see Him as He is, 'twill well reward thee
To have one glance of welcome from His eye."

"If we seek Jesus more and more, and seek a personal relation with Himself, we come into Him and he into us, and the cleansing and purging and pruning go on almost unknown to us."

October 3:

"To live a steadfastly obedient, careful life with Jesus, and to do those things that please Him, wins the life of Christ and crucifies flesh."

followthelamb...If we seek Jesus more and more, and seek a personal relation with Himself, we come into Him and he into us, and the cleansing and purging and pruning go on almost unknown to us.

This is so true, I have personally seen this played out in my life in the past few years, especially what you said about the "pruning will go on almost unknown to us".
Thanks! Mr.Bill

Just wanted to clarify quickly that these posts are not my words, they are from the writings of Martha Wing Robinson. Praise the Lord. Going to edit
