Oh, Christ, here are our hearts - come and reign!

followthelamb Oct 20, 2015

"In the stillness of the night-watches we hear the footsteps resembling those that walked among His disciples when He said, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME AGAIN, AND RECEIVE YOU UNTO MYSELF: 'that where I am, there you may be also." John 14:3 O, Father, I pray "that they all may be ONE; as thou, Father, art in Me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou have sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that THEY MAY BE ONE, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made PERFECT IN ONE; and that the world may know that thou have sent me, and has loved them, as thou has loved me." John 17:21-23

We could never hope for such a oneness in the building up of our own mental capacity, either political, moral or spiritual. But in seeking Him we find He empowers us with a willing ness to lay all upon the altar; all of our spirit, soul and body - that He may become in us our ALL AND IN ALL. He shall be the light that shines forth in darkness illuminating the pathway. The pathway that He has promised will shine more and more UNTO THE PERFECT DAY!

Yes, beloved, when we see these things begin to come to pass we may LOOK UP! Rejoice for our redemption draws nigh! Redemption of body, soul and spirit! He that has begun a work in us shall He not finish it? He whose purpose it was from before the foundation of the world emptied Himself of His glory that He had with the Father and took upon Himself the "form of a man' humbling Himself to be born of a Virgin! He was crucified; dead and buried and on the third day He arose and is now on the right hand of God waiting for that CALL TO EARTH! That call when He shall come forth in triumph! Do you realize that Jesus has not yet seen of the travail of His soul that He might be satisfied? But He shall be! Jesus our loving Saviour, shall be satisfied And we, who are the members of His Body shall be satisfied also! Yes, we shall be satisfied when we awaken in His LIKENESS!

O glorious Day! O triumphant Day! Once again our Redeemer shall come in triumph to this earth! Come to hold undisputed sway over the creation He redeemed. And He shall reign for ever and for ever, and of that everlasting kingdom there shall be no end. This promise is that we shall reign with Him. What a marvel of grace - what a story of love. But in my heart He whispers, "You can not reign with me - unless first I reign IN you" Oh, Christ, here are our hearts - come and reign."
