Day 0Dear beloved brothers and sisters,Today is the day before the conference. Paul (DezCall) and i are going to a conference during this weekend.it's a dutch conference and it's every year in the weekend we celebrate pentecost. it's a 4 day conference, it starts at friday and finishes at monday. And every day there are a couple of services, where we sing and praise God and listen to His Word, given by one of the preachers.tomorrow will the preacher be Orlando Bottenbley, at saterdaymorning Anne van der Bijl, saterdaynight Otto de Bruijne, at sunday morning Gary Wilkerson, sunday night Kees Goedhart, monday morning Gary Wilckerson and monday afternoon brother Yun.but this day we will be packing our things, do some last minute shopping, and go to prepare ourself in pray.to give a little background information about me and Paul. i know Paul of a summercamp, it was about 4 years ago, when The Lord turned our lifes upside down, and we became real and on fire for God. God has really given this friendship, we are so blessed, and that is because He is the center, to Him we look, in Him we are. The Lord is standing between us, and no matter what happens, God is faithfull and guides our ways.so we are really looking forward to this, we pray and go to the conference not for the preachers or the services, but for Christ alone!we hope and want that Christ can glorify Himself through us, and that we may become a vessel on that conference. That He may fill us and that we may overflow and that we will not keep it for ourself.so if you want to pray for us, during this weekend would be a great. And it is so encouraging to know that people pray for you. if you'd like to pray, you can pray for Christ Glorified through us, that He may reveale His Will more and more, and that we may dwell with Him and listen to His Voice. and that are passion for Christ may be renewed. Psalm 27:4"One thing have I desired of the LORD; that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in His temple."Amos 5:4"seek Me and live"so i'm going to pack my things and i will be going today to Paul's house, and from there we will drive tomorrow to the conference!be blessed and be a blessing!your brothers in ChristWilliam and Paul

Amen!Every prayer is welcome. May our God receive the glorify He deserves. We're not going like a bunch of "sermonizers" as David Wilkerson called it. We're not going from sermon to sermon till each appears before "Great Feeling" in "Emotional Experience". The desire of our heart is just to be in the presence of our Lord Jesus and meet Him and listen to Him and worship Him. I don't long to be filled with a lot of knowledge or great enthusiasm...I long to sit at the feet of Jesus and be a witness for Him at the conference. This last week God impressed om me a verse. “If you have run with footmen and they have tired you out, Then how can you compete with horses?” (Jeremiah 12:5)The biggest challenge as a Christian is to walk closely with God in our every-day life. A conference like this is really awesome and man...I am really looking forward to it, but, as Leonard Ravenhill said:"The questions isn't were you challenged, the question is were you changed"May God change us. Us at this conference, you at the place where you are now. Many blessings to you all. Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5-6)In Him,Paul

PaulThank you for sharing this I am excited for you both and I know you will be blessed. Is there any chance in getting the digital recordings of these messages? so we can share them with the brothers and sisters at SI?I would love to hear how the Lord spoke to both of your hearts afterwards. Our prayers are with you both!

sermonindex wrote:Is there any chance in getting the digital recordings of these messages? so we can share them with the brothers and sisters at SI?Hey Greg. This is possible, but the English will also be translated in Dutch, so that could be rather disturbing in listening. But if you would love to, I think we're able to get the messages of Gary Wilkerson and perhaps Brother Yun. The others (like Brother Andrew) will speak in Dutch, so then we will have to translate it into English :-P Just let us know (we're heading to the conference in about 14 hours. Thanks so much for all the prayers friends! This can't go wrong anymore :-) We will bring our notepads ;-) and share with you all what the Lord has impressed on our hearts!William + Paul, your brothers in Christ...

What a blessing,I think there is a scripture which says, open wide your mouth and I will fill it, sooooo open wide. As i am typing another scripture has come to me, the end part says something about welling up to eternal life.God to hear what God is doing and is going to do.

still the day before the conferencethe trip to Paul's house went well, i just enjoyed driving to him, see a lot of rural country, very beautiful.i made a cd, with a lot of compilations and with 70 songs. so i just put it on random, and could just enjoy music and compilations.so we did some shopping to buy all the things we need. and while shopping and being back home we had plenty of time to talk and discuss things.but moreover it was so awesome to be in His presence when we began to pray, and just to know that He is there where 2 or 3 are gathered in His Name, He is there (Mat 18:20) not for an emotional boost or something like that, but as a Reality! and you guys who prayed for us and replied to this thread have been a blessing, thank God for you guys!and Rahman, great quote :-), love it, and a very true!- Learn all you can ...- Can all you learn ...- But never sit on the can ... that night i slept in a room, with just an old bed, a sink and a table. This room is just a room which is going to be restored, because walls were broken and you could see pipelines etc.so i was sleeping in a simple room and it made me remind me of what a preacher once said, who travelled the world. he said something like this: "Lord Jesus, You are my hiding place, Jesus in you i sleep and rest, You are my sanctuary". so he didn't care if he had to sleep on the floor in a shed in a far far away country or in a 5 star hotel, he knew Jesus was his sanctuary. And he was always content with the place he slept, so he didn't care if it was a shed or a hotel.i had a blessed night, God gave me enough rest for the trip. we stood up at 6:30 and drove off at 08:00.

Day Oneso when we drove off, we just enjoyed listening to the cd (i labeled the cd "on the road to...")and this might be funny, i drove to a fuel station, filled it up, we said this is also a place where we can pray for the conference.so i drove to the parking place, and i looked in my right mirror, and i saw that i forgot to close the fueltank. so thank God we stopped there, and pray, otherwise i would miss the shell to lock the tank.so we had a thing to thank Him for, and we prayed, it was also great the journey went well, and at 10:00 we arrived.it was very windy, so we put up the tent, and it was a very huge one, for 6 persons, (we only slept in it with 3 persons) but it was very hard to put it up. and after a long time it was standing, and had a perfect place.btw you guys might like this ;-)everyone knows the Revival Hymn, so we promoted that compilation a little bit.... :-Pi have big speakers in the back so i opened up the trunk, and the whole field around us could hear it. 8-) we did the short version, we turned up the volume at the beginning where you hear "the church of Jesus Christ is largely sleeping ... look at this 52nd chapter, Awake, awake; put on strength, wake up you sleepy christians.." and turned it down where Duncan Campel is beginning to tell about the revival.but i must say that the sad thing was this, that the conference needed this message, we heard every preacher, went to some seminars. But the most was sad, looked like "prosperity". and singing with almost 10.000 people sure boosts feelings, but we came for Christ alone, not for singing or preachers, for Christ alone!and a very positive thing was that God still gave us a blessed time alone with Him and with eachother and other fellow christians.

but i must say that the sad thing was this, that the conference needed this message, we heard every preacher, went to some seminars. But the most was sad, looked like "prosperity". Sounds like a note of disappointment here. I've been to "Christian" events many times only to come away wondering why I felt so compelled to go. I think, for me, it has been to solidify the message that I am hearing from God that there is a real separation taking place on the earth today of the false and the true. It's just excruciating to sit through meetings where the whole thing seems so...lost. Makes me think I'm crazy sometimes. Glad you guys had some rich fellowship time, at least. Love, Dian.

Love, Dian.Dear Dian, yea indeed this is so true, i discussed it with my dad when i was at home and he said: "the conference gives an expression of how we christians (or how the church is) are today"

The Lord who provides!yea and last but not least, this was very very special and awesome.after the last service monday noon, we went back to our tent and packed the last thing, and putting them in my car, we sat in the car and waited to go on and drive to the exit.so we ate some cookies, and some bread that was left, we waited and waited. so Paul and Rob (a brother and friend who was also with us) checked if they could buy some frites somewhere, and i waited, that if the traffic would move i could drive further.and after a long time they came back saying they had none and all was gone and sold.so we sat in the car, eating the some last cookies, we decided to sing some songs, so we sang some songs, but we can't sing that good without a gitar. and still we were at the same place.so after that we began to read 1 Cor 15, and after that we thought, well if we have to wait for a long time, we could just read the whole Bible (because we already waited about 2 hours, without moving a inch) it was taking so long.however we decided to read Matthew, and while Paul was reading, a women knocked on the window, so we opened up, and she asked if we liked some soup.so we said "yea please, and thank You Jesus!" and it tasted dellisious.so Paul went on reading (the time we waited was now 2,5 hours) and it came into my mind "why don't pray that we could move on and get out"and we began to pray, and we hadn't said a few words *knock knock on the window* "hold on" i opened up and a guy just said "if you drive through there and there you will be out of here in 5 minutes"so God answered that pray before we could even ask it :-)so i drove likewise he said, and near the exit were 2 boys standing, selling 'frikandel' (a long piece of meat which you can eat with frites, don't know if you have that in your country), so we bought 3 of them, so God provided again, and this time in food.and indeed we were in 5 minutes out of that place :-)and also a great thing was this, the songs that were playing when that happened were"some may trust in horses, some may trust in chariots, but we will trust in The Name of The Lord!"and directly after that:"God will make a way, where there seems to be no way,He works in ways we cannot see,He will make a way for me,He will be my Guide, and holds me closely to His side, with love and strength for each new day,He will make a way!"so we just praised God and thanked Him.it was unbelievalbe and really we saw God's Guidance and providance!so we sang along with the songs on the cd, just praising and thanking God!"The Lord is our Shepherd, i shall not want"our Lord God Almighty, who works in ways we cannot see and showed how He can work in such great ways :-)to see His Reality in such a way was so encouraging, praise God for it!
