Christmas even thou it is not the birthday of Jesus is an amazing time to evangelise for non believers and it is amazing how many christians materialise Christmas.
Christmas ends up more a narcissistic sermon about them and not exegiting a scripture.
With the incarnation the subject of God taking on a human nature or the vast depths of say the Attributes of God.
With the subject of the birth narratives. There is so much literature. What saddens me is the state of the churches that people do not need Jesus or the real historical jesus. It ends up with a jesus of there own imagination which is almost like the Mormons or other groups.
There are so many sermons that could expound the bible but it is so sad that so many churches use christmas as a time not to share the Gospel but for mere entertainment.
It is a prime time for the gospel as many people actually think about Jesus at the time and noone shares them the Good news.
I think I am so dry I need the holy spirit as with many churches closing down at christmas and between the time of christmas. The materialistic aspects of the world get into our hearts.

Christmas is also a lonely time for those singles, those from foreign places and with lots of people that have nowhere to go.
