Executive Order 9066:
Resulting in the Relocation of Japanese
Issued by President Franklin Roosevelt on February 19, 1942, this order authorized the evacuation of all persons deemed a threat to national security from the West Coast to relocation centers further inland. In the next 6 months, over 100,000 men, women, and children of Japanese ancestry were moved to assembly centers. They were then evacuated to and confined in isolated, fenced, and guarded relocation centers, known as internment camps.

You're both have hit the nail on the head. A French philosopher was quoted as saying those that failed to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat its mistakes.
Roosevelt signed the Executive order in response to the fear and hysteria of World War 2. But with the fear that is rising up against Islamic attacks. We may vary will see a similar parallel unfold.
Of course we as Christians can breathe easy. For it will be the Muslims that will be rounded up. Even if they are American citizens. But then what will happen if a situation emerges that all RELIGIOUS EXTREMISM will be to blame for the world's problems. Will it not be the Christiane that will be rounded up next.
Where do you draw the line???
This is not the right wing paranoia. But a very present reality that occurred in our history. And with present events may very well occur again.

I do not think it a mistake to follow the proposal Trump made regarding Muslims. Some may not be aware that Franklin Graham has made the same proposal prior to Trump.
In July of this year,after the shootings in Chattanooga that left four Marines and a Navy sailor dead
,he wrote "We are under attack by Muslims at home and abroad. We should stop all immigration of Muslims to the U.S. until this threat with Islam has been settled.
Every Muslim that comes into the United States has the potential to be radicalized they do their killing to honor their religion and Muhammad."
He stated that during World War II, the United States didn't allow Japanese or German immigration.
He said, "Why are we allowing Muslims now? Let your Congressman know that we've got to put a stop to this and close the flood gates. Pray for the men and women who serve this nation in uniform, that God would protect them."
He received much opposition from...guess who...?

God did not allow pagan immigration into Israel's camp. Israel disregarded his order. We know the result.
The problem in our current situation is that we are not at war with a specific country but rather a mindset held by a subset of a particular religion. The lowest common denominator is to keep out everyone of that religion to stop some. The next level is to carefully screen each person of that religion which may be woefully inadequate.
I sure don't have any answers. Trump's solution is just common sense as he sees it.
How do you test or see where a person's true loyalty lies?
So we stop the immigration of Muslims coming into America. Then the next logical step will be to round up those Muslims that are American citizens and put them into detention centers.
God forbid. This could happen after another 9:11 or San Bernardino type attack.
It seems like we have gone down this road before. Again those that fail to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat its mistake.
But then there will be those who will cry it's religion that's the evil of the world. Religion of any type. After the Muslims. They will round up the Hindus, the Buddhist, the the Jehovah Witnesses, the Mormons, and so on. But we white anglo-saxon Protestant will be spared. If anyone is thinking this think again. For if the Muslims are rounded up. Then the Christiane will next on the list.
I ask again where do you draw the line?
If we start profiling on the basis of religion. Then we head down a slippery slope.

Todd Israel was a theocracy in the Old Covenant. She was a shadow of the spiritual kingdom to come. For God to prevent pagans from coming into Israel wsx to srparate her as unto Himself. The same way that we as believers separate ourselves from the sins of this world. Yo be sanctified as unto Christ.
I do not believe that using Old Testament principles regarding Israel can be applied to this nation. Particularly since God never made a blood covenant with America.
But if we are going to start profiling on the basis of religion. Are you going to make Islam the only religion that will not be allowed in America. What about the Hindu extremists of India or the Buddhist radicals of Burma. You would have to exclude them. I keep asking where do you draw the line?
The war we are involved in as a spiritual war. It is fought against demonic principalities. Such a war can only be fought with spiritual weapons.
We would do better to listen to the Holy Spirit. Then to listen to the rhetoric of Donald Trump. Or shall I say even listen to Franklin Graham. Franklin is to be respected for his humanitarian work. But I do take issue with him regarding preventing Muslims from coming to this country.
If we are truly walking in the love of Christ then we will not fear. My concern is that the great majority of evangelical Christians are looking for their salvation in Donald Trump. And not in the Lord Jesus Christ.
My thoughts
What are God's thoughts in regard to rival gods and those who worship and serve them?
Is He their protector in any sense? Or is He their enemy and they His?
Savannah best to leave that to God himself. For he says vengeance is mine and I will repay says the Lord.
