Greetings all. What is the best way for one to make a compilation? Is there a certain program you can download to take different audio bytes and string them together? I would like to make some I am just unsure how to start. Thanks for the help.

Hey Elijah-
I have made some using Audacity which is a sound editing software you can download for free. The old Fire on the Altar website recommended this for making comps.
It is pretty user friendly but you have to mess around with it.
Of course the hardest thing about making comps is taking notes while listening to sermons etc and marking the start and end times of the portion to excerpt.
I found Audacity the easiest software to work with that was free.
You can set different tracks in each file and they are in layers. Just make sure you equalize all the clips in the same format ie stereo or mono at a certain bitrate.
Thank you bro. Todd, and Bro. Greg for the replies and the advice. I am downloading the program now and going to experiment with it. Blessings.
